About the event

This ride is a 9 kilometre ride for Families. All children must be accompanied by parents/guardians.

Tamariki 8 years old and above can bring their own bikes. Adults can bring their own e-bikes, traditional bike or borrow from our Ebike fleet (with child seats). Adults and children on own bikes need to be able to ride confidently and have the stamina to ride the 8 kilometres.

This ride is all off road: we will be on cycleways with a few safe road crossing by foot. We will ride to Taita Station and cut across to reach the Hutt Stop Bank cycleway and back to Avalon park where we will have a picnic (BYO) and a play. On the way, there will be some stops for treasure hunts and to explore.

Please bring food and water for your whānau, and dress to suit weather. It can feel cooler when cycling.
