Meet Greta Menzies

Greta Menzies is a multidiciplinary artist with a background in textile design living in Pōneke Wellington. Free Ride has been lucky to work with Greta on a number of occasions, since our first project - The Bike Box. Greta also did a mural for our Hillary Court store, which you can buy as a tee shirt on our shop page. Now Greta has painted a similar design on our Free Ride container at Te Tōpunga Harpori i Daly Street.

She also works commercially as a designer & illustrator for product, print and animation. Trained in textile design with a focus on Illustration, Greta is an expert in creating repeat-patterns, and works regularly for Thunderpants NZ, USA & UK, and freelance for other clients.

Greta teaches ceramic handbuilding at KMC Studio in Wellington, and art workshops at tertiary institutions, galleries and in the community.
